As a Junior Estimator at Yardnique, you will play a key role in assisting the estimating team in accurately and efficiently preparing cost estimates for landscape construction projects. Working closely with the senior estimators, project managers, and design teams, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in Quantity Take-offs:
  • Collaborate with the senior estimators to perform quantity take-offs from construction plans and specifications.
  • Accurately measure and quantify materials, labor, and equipment required for each project.
• Cost Analysis and Estimation:
  • Assist in analyzing project requirements and specifications to determine labor, material, and equipment costs.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare accurate and competitive bids.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:
  • Solicit quotes and proposals from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate and compare subcontractor bids for various scopes of work.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain organized project files, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
  • Generate detailed cost estimates and reports for review by senior management.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project kickoff meetings as needed.
